The Pros and Cons of Having a Roomate

Pro: She's used to being waited on, so she doesn't mind my "straightening" things

Con: She leaves her crap all over the place, I'm obsessive-compulsive, not a maid.

Pro: I get to expose her to all new American things

Con: She expresses her displeasure at my music by covering her ears and demanding I "turn that garbage down!"

Pro: She wouldn't be caught dead in my clothes, so no worries about her borrowing them.

Con: She found my candy stash.

Pro: Hey! Built-in air-conditoner. Our room is now always nice, comfy, and cool.

Con: I'm not too crazy about the dew, though.

You don't have to remove my belongings from the floor. Is it my fault if I never know at what odd hour you choose to walk through the door, or if you'll even be there at all? If I knew, I'd ensure that my possessions were away before you walked through the door.

I do not instantly demand that you "turn that garbage down." I say, "Please lower the volume of that horrendous noise." Then, when I ask nicely a few times and you ignore me, the demands begin.

Candy is horrible for your health. It wreaks havoc on your teeth. Plus, it attracts ants. No one could possibly eat that much candy before all sorts of insects would claim it as their own.

I can act as a dehumidifier, too. All you have to do is ask, and provide large enough pots or bowls in which to put the water. Otherwise, I'll end up ruining the floor.

I did not take your candy. Locked doors probably don't mean much to a large number of people around here. I don't know who would want ant-covered candy, though.

Thank you for your concern, Miss Marie. I think we're going to try to handle this on our own. We'll let you know if we are unable to do so in an effective and mature fashion. I had no that idea Jennie felt this way.
