I've not had any trouble with infections from the times he's bitten me. On the other hand... he hadn't been running around on all fours those times and the teeth hadn't been sitting around unwashed in a carpet. I'm not sure about shots, but perhaps you should get it looked at. Or at least keep an eye on it.
