Home Again Home Again
Fear not children, for I, have returned.
So Jennie, you may whine, how was your vacation? To which I will reply:
a) I was not on a vacation. It was a job on a boat. Yes, it was off the Virgin Islands, but it was still a job. I actually had to, y'know, work. Math doesn't do itself, nor do the sails raise themselves. And just in case you were wondering, Global Warming is having an effect on the tropical environments. Look for a paper to be published this winter. I was with the Drs. McKinnon, and the lovely Miss Marnie McKinnon. My fellow staff included Natalie, who is a graduate student in marine biology like Denise Richards is a frigging Nuclear physicist. Cheese goddess is more likely. And Wendell, our surly, cranky, British man-of-all-trades. Who needed to wear a belt like woah, since I saw his freckled ass way more than was necessary.
b) But the Virgin Islands are very pretty. The water was so clear I could see 40 feet to the bottom. Also? Chickens everywhere.
c) I did not get sunburned except for the last day. And for some reason it was the tops of my feet. Shoes, you never were such a bad idea.
So. I'd make the inevitble joke about what happens when I'm away, but I'm not going to do that. At least my room is still in one piece.
