For some of us it's more a question of powers consideration.
I'm sure I could get drunk and then decide to subjugate every available male over the age of 17 to be my willing cabana boy but I don't think anyone would really enjoy that. (Well, I might but I'd feel terrible when I was no longer drunk.)
So I think I'll leave the fun experience of getting wasted to those better able to enjoy it.
You're a good looking young girl. I'm sure you could find willing participants if not someone immune to the effect. I'd never advocate drinking alone for a ton of reasons.
To add to what Laurie said, drunken psis are often a very, very bad thing. I once ruined the night for a couple of innocent bystanders by scolding Bystander #1 for sleeping with Bystander #2's wife and plotting to off him for the insurance money.
I mean, in a sense it was also a public service, but...
